Teaching Philosophy
“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination
and life to everything.” - Plato
Teaching is my Passion
I love private teaching because of its one-on-one interaction. I love getting to know my students on personal level – not just a musical level. I want to be able to make a difference in their lives, even if it's just to feed their excitement for music. It fills me with unexplainable joy to see my students finally get a concept that they've struggled with and it makes me proud when I hear them perform, knowing only weeks earlier their piece was not yet performance-ready.

The Benefits of Music Lessons are Vast
Taking music lessons:
- brings emotional and aesthetic enjoyment to people of all ages
- teaches discipline in other areas of life. Students learn how to practice well and efficiently, and practicing daily teaches them regulation, which they can easily apply to other academic areas
- gives young children the chance to express themselves in a way that would not otherwise be possible
- gives them the opportunity to build self-esteem, which is important at all ages
Development of the Whole Person
I believe every child can learn to play an instrument, no matter their learning style. It is my job, as the teacher, to teach them in a way best for them, while still meeting the standard of excellence. It is important to me as a teacher not to produce world-class performers, but rather to aid in the development of the whole person.
